Day 30. Pray for impartation of the Holy Ghost; for the gifts of the Spirit to be in operation among the church (I Corinthians 12:8-10). Pray for the exercising of: Word of wisdom, Word of knowledge, Faith, Gifts of healings, Miracles, Prophecy, Discernment of spirits, Tongues, and Interpretation of tongues.
Day 29. Pray for the Church to be equipped and prepared to receive the fullness of God’s appointed destiny. “Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ” (II Thessalonians 1:11-12).
Day 28. Pray for Church Leadership Teams to be fruitful in ministry and strengthened by intimacy with God (Colossians 1:9-12).
Day 27. Pray for Church Planters to have the grace to know how to respond to each person. “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” (Colossians 4:6).
Day 26. Pray for God to protect missionaries, pastors, and elders from spiritual attack and physical harm. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).
Day 22. Pray for government officials and offices, both city/local, county, state, national/federal, and for international leagues of nations. Pray that wise, godly leadership may be in place, and that darkness will be revealed (Daniel 2:21-22).
Day 20. Pray for the President of the United States, today (on Inauguration Day) and every day. Pray for his salvation, character, safety, and wisdom. “Pray…for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty…” (see I Timothy 2:1-4).
Day 17. Pray for there to be power for witnessing (Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:4). Pray for sweeping renewal of the Holy Ghost on seasoned believers, and for new outpourings of the Spirit on those who have not yet been filled, with the accompanying initial sign of Spirit-empowered speech in other languages.
Day 11. Pray for God to send laborers into the harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). Pray that those who are being called and sent will respond obediently.
Day 10. Pray for a heart filled with love for others (Matthew 5:44, Jude 1:22), especially pray for love and unity between fellow believers (John 13:35). Pray for occasion to fulfill Galatians 6:10: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Day 9. Pray for the backslider to come to their senses (II Timothy 2:26, Luke 15:17). Pray that they would realize all that is wrong. Pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth of the situation, and pray against any delusion the enemy would try to bring them (II Corinthians 4:4, II Timothy 2:26).
Day 8. Pray for a holy hunger for all, and a holy homesickness for the wayward (Matthew 5:6, Romans 8:18-30). Pray that prodigals would be constantly reminded of what it was like to be in fellowship with God (I Chronicles 16:12); that they would long for the cleansing relationship they once had (Isaiah 1:18).
Day 7. Pray for spiritually-caused famine to afflict the wayward to motivate them to come home (Luke 15:16, I Corinthians 5:5); pray that anything or anyone the backslider is placing their trust in, outside of the Lord, would be removed from their life. Pray that whatever once brought them pleasure would become empty, that the novelty of their situation will fade.
Day 6. Pray for a supernatural gift of agape (Greek: pure love); not to condone any sinful actions, but to be open and warm to prodigals and the lost, even when they are still yet in their sin (Romans 5:8). Pray for them from a position of love, not a position of judgment and anger (Luke 6:37, II Corinthians 2:7-11).
Day 5. Pray for the “elder son” who stayed faithful; that the church will prepare their hearts to receive the backslider back with joy and excitement (Luke 15:29-32).
